Counteracts fatigue / improves physical endurance
 
Professor Kubo group at the College of Pharmacology, Kinki University, Japan and professor Prieto at the Leon University, Spain conducted anti-fatigue research with Korean Red Ginseng
extract independently by using enforced swim tests with animal.

They suggested that Korean Red Ginseng significantly extended swimming time and improved
blood biochemical parameters pertinent to fatigue. Korean Red Ginseng helped recovery of mental
and physical work efficiency in nurses who are susceptible to a breakdown of physiological and
social rhythm due to night duty. Korean Red Ginseng powder was administered to 23 taxi drivers
in a controlled crossover with placebos and fatigue-related parameters such as sleepiness, concentration and local discomfort in the body were monitored.

The test criteria were aggravated when subjects were treated with a placebo but markedly improved
with treatment with ginseng. This result suggests the clinical usefulness of Korean Red Ginseng for
the control of mental and physical fatigue in the workplace.

The beneficial role of Korean Red Ginseng in fatigue, blood circulation, respiration and metabolism has attracted sport scientists' attention. Athletes' use of ginseng to increase competitiveness is of
special interest for those scientists.
